The Magi

Based in Nashville, TN, Damien Horne (The Farm), Kenny Carter (Waterdeep, Trump Dawgs), and David “DJ” Lee (Scratch Track) have merged their individual talents as artists, songwriters, and producers. After years of performing in colleges, clubs, and churches, these three have joined forces to bring a positive and encouraging musical experience to uplift souls and inspire a wide variety of audiences. By mixing bass grooves, beatboxing, acoustic guitar, and Soul-Felt vocals, The Magi create an organic sound that is unique and specifically their own.

Typically a band creates a song, but the song "Try" actually created a band.

“The three of us got together to write one day last year. Before we started, we chatted about our lives, individual music careers, struggles and passions. Then I started a beatboxing loop and Kenny & Damien jumped right in groovin’ and next thing I knew we had what felt like a really unique and honest song,“ says Lee. “As soon as we finished that day, I remember Damien saying ‘we should play shows like this —as the three of us.’

Carter agrees, "It just so happens that this song reflects the current emotion worldwide as it mirrors the human struggle to be better, to make things better and to never give up on that struggle."

Damien Horne adds, “We are a brotherhood. We want our music to unite people. The Magi is all about inspiring & encouraging souls with a positive message that the world desperately needs in this present time.”
